What Is A Canted Sight In PUBG?

Ever tried to use two attachment in one weapon at the same time. "It's impossible" you might be saying. But it's possible now because PUBG has launched a new feature recently called Canted Sight which is a secondary attachment. Read more to know more about it, how to use it, what precautions to take etc.

About it :
 
                 Canted(meaning tilted) Sight is basically a new attachment that allows a player to quickly switch between the 1x Canted Sight and the other scope or attachments used. It is a secondary attachment. For now, it is only available on PUBG PC but PUBG might bring it on other platforms too.

How to use it :
 
                       The Canted Sight is actually the tilting of the gun at an angle. This can be done by pressing ALT+Right Click or one can change this to his own comfortability in the Settings menu.

In which weapons can Canted Sight be used:

        Canted Sight can be used in the following weapons :

Precautions : 

1. Following points about primary sight should be remembered:

         I. If you equip Canted Sight only, your primary attachment will be the Canted  Sight.
           
        II. If you equip Canted Sight before any scope, your primary attachment will be the canted sight.
          
         III. If you Canted Sight after any scope, your primary attachment will be the  Canted Sight.

 2. Attaching the Canted Sight might change the weapon's position and view of angle for the user but there will no changes in the gunplay.

3. It can affect the peeking towards left or right. 

Product Review : Retro-bit's Metal Storm NES Re-release

Reproductions of NES games are nothing new, people have been making them and selling them illegally for years.  Recently the retro gaming market has shown such strength and durability that legitimate companies have felt there was sufficient interest in making new copies of original games.  These games would come packaged as "Anniversary Editions" or "Collector's Editions" and come in packaging and with extras that would easily eclipse the original game's.  This of course requires contacting the rights holder and negotiating for permission to release more copies of their game.  Recently, the relatively uncommon but well-regarded NES game Metal Storm received a release from retro-bit and I had the chance for it to come into my possession, so let me use this blog entry to review the game and explain why I had the opportunity to briefly handle it.

I have often in conversation referred to retro-bit as one of the "Four Horsemen of the Retro-Gaming Apocalypse", one of four well-known companies (Hyperkin, atgames and Gamerz-Tek) that have consistently released garbage retro video game products over the years.  They are hardly alone among lousy retro gaming product makers, but they are the most prominent.  Hyperkin can put out a decent controller, so I guess it has graduated, just barely, from the "Horsemen".  Can retro-bit do the same with its release of Metal Storm?  Let's find out.

Congratulations are in order, for our efforts have paid off.  Individuality is a sin before Secular Leftism.  Whatever your system of beliefs, it must conform to the Collective Will of the Masses or be purged... just as all discriminatory personal property and wealth has been sacrificed upon the altar of Secular Leftism.

Those who've already confessed their sins may continue to live, as long as they are useful to The State.  Everyone who has not yet sought forgiveness for past and present sins, as well as future transgressions, have forfeit their contaminated existence.  Daily Purity Tests are Mandatory!  Proceed to one of the conveniently located self-immolation booths.

For those who seem shocked by this inevitable progression, don't be.  As our Collectivist Leaders teach us, terrible beliefs are held by terrible people, but they can be made useful in State Sponsored Work Camps.  Please, do not humanize the enemies of The State, unless you want to join them in the gulag.

The nazis held terrible beliefs.  Therefore, everyone with terrible beliefs are considered nazis and deemed undeserving of consideration, rights, or even the burden of life.  After all, are we not all victims in the eyes of Secular Leftism?  Praise be to The State!  Since everyone who disagrees with us is nazi scum, there is only agreement, only conformity.  The State is an unbreakable monolith - omniscient, omnipotent, and omnibenevolent.

Furthermore, the terrorist propaganda of christianity, judaism, satanism, cthulhuism, not-religious-but-spiritual-ism, libertarianism, individualism, capitalism, conservatism, moderation, freedom, jokes, memes, and common sense is no longer allowed in public or private spaces.  The State, in its infinite wisdom, has declared these problematic ideologies of racism, sexism, homophobia, and transphobia to be violent attacks upon Our Great Uniformity.

Only total submission to The State is tolerated.  Anything that does not conform must be condemned and destroyed in the People's Square of Mutual Grievances!  Failure to pledge public support for Our Shared Values is the equivalent of terrorism, nazism, and white supremacy.

Those of your flawed era still cling to the idea that The State is not god, but in 2025 we know better than you.  The State is the only rational substitute for him, in all his toxic patriarchy.  In fact, society cannot progress without his destruction.  Praise be to The State!

28Mm Italian Wars Papal Guard

It's been a three months since I added to the new Italian Wars Project and after the big push for the Analogue Hobbies Winter Paint Challenge (which the Papal Army won the Challenge Choice Award 😁) my painting output has slowed down dramatically. But after years of painting I know it will come back, I have a new job at work so stress levels are lowering and the figure output is starting to rise again.

Now before the purists have a heart attack, I know this is a later uniform than the Italian Wars, I was lucky enough to see the painting "The Mass at Bolsena" 1514 Raphael, on my trip to the Vatican so I know what that depiction looks like but honestly who can resist the modern blue, yellow and red uniform of the Guard.

So I totally agree it's a bit of a fantasy unit but I bet you it will easily be the most recognisable unit in my army. Just need a 28mm Pope figure for it to Guard now !

The figures are 28mm scale from TAG (The Assault Group) who sell a Papal Guard pack which form the bulk of the unit, I've added some of their Italian Command figures (and a rogue Perry Figure after the new dog ate one of the TAG figures !) To make up the 24 figures of the unit.

The figures are equipped with Polearms and will make a pretty ferocious unit on the table. Flags are as always from Pete's Flags.

Next up for the Italian Wars Project will be a unit of shot whilst I also have some 1/2400 WW1 ships on the go.
